Personal Advisory
Mutual Trust Firm's 200 investment professionals in the U.S. currently serve nearly 300 clients from offices in five major U.S. cities. By the end of 2010, the business will open an additional office in response to growing client demand in the region.

MTF works on behalf of buyers to find companies for their own acquisition or investment. We offer a full range of acquisition services including company search, valuation assessment, acquisition process assistance, and due diligence planning and implementation. We also offer strategic and operations consulting and management services for buyers post-acquisition.
We tailor our company searches to each buyer’s unique criteria of industry, revenue range, cash flow, location, valuation, management capabilities and other parameters. Before presenting opportunities to our buyers, MTF vets them through an initial due diligence process to ensure quality of the opportunity and a match against the established criteria. We therefore serve a valuable role to clients who are aggravated by the time wasted reviewing deals not suited to their needs. We also function as a communication buffer between our clients and sellers until a client decides to take the lead in pursuing the deal. Our clients’ identities are held in strict confidence, and only revealed to companies and other intermediaries with their consent.
MTF reviews over a dozen companies each week for our buyers. We locate opportunities through the investment community, affiliations with professional services firms, business intermediaries, industry associations, targeted mailings, alumni networks and other sources. Our efforts yield a varied set of high-quality buyout and investment opportunities.
Once a potential acquisition candidate is identified, we are available to work alongside the buyer during the assessment process and post-acquisition strategic planning. We have developed a comprehensive due diligence process to uncover the risks and objectively assess the prospects of each opportunity. The process is based on our experience in corporate law, deal structuring and management consulting, and is the same as that used by Aleutian Capital Partners (MTF’s parent company) for its own acquisition assessments.
